In the new album, Marié varies from her debut release, "Unfold", with techno and pop beats, dance rhythms, and big vocals that come together to create a dance-worthy new record. Marié's latest video was put up just before she kicked off her summer tour as a special guest on the Lilith Fair 2010, and is a beautiful new original + piano dedicated to Los Angeles, her hometown. In the description box, Marié describes how she has seen people come and go in Los Angeles and how alluring, yet cruel the city can be. She explains how careers have been destroyed and have taken off, and how she met so many aspiring musicians in her teens and early twenties, many of which left the city within a matter of years. More About Birthday Project!

MarieDigby.org will be having a birthday project for when Marié turns 26 on the 16th! We want to make it ultra special, so that Marié has a memorable birthday present. On the 6th, I will start posting some more information about the fan montages, and what you can do to help. Then, I'll put together the whole birthday video, and eventually it will make it's way to YouTube, or I'll send it to Marié.

I'm not spilling what will be in the whole video just yet... I'll save that for the 6th. More information about the project will be coming soon!

New Blog/Birthday Project Info/Fan Forum

Marié posted a very exciting new blog entry yesterday... she talks about some new things, like a possible official website, a Myspace revamp, and a summer tour. She says she's also been without a manager for a while. Also, I have some more information about the birthday project... it involves fan montages and a birthday book. More information about it coming soon! Also, I'm going to try to set up a fan forum with my good friends, Seiyah and Jeff, and we can try to get Marié to chat with us. It will be sometime in early May, but more information is coming soon!
Hellooooo !!!
I'm in a weird mood here so please excuse whatever I say... definitely not in the mood for organized thought. I just realized that it's been a while since I've updated you all and so I'm going to try and sum up what I've been doing.. what the future plans are etc :)
Basically, like I said in the last blog, Japan was hectic but it was a blast. It's kind of like being in a hurricane while I'm over there promoting and then when it was done, there was this amazing one week of peace and quiet.
I came home and did absolutely NOTHING !!! It was so wonderful... trying to just sleep as much as I could, eating well, going to see movies...
But then the chaos started up again :) You guys probably don't know this but I have been without a manager for 6 months (and for the whole making of both the u.s and japanese albums). That may not sound so hard but trust me .. it is. A manager is supposed to help take care all of your business so that you can concentrate on just making art and being a musician.
Because I haven't had a manager, I've had to take on that responsibility and it's been quite a challenge. Im looking so hard to find a new manager but for the time being, it's just me.
The album is completed but I am just doing the final touches on the artwork . I just handed in my album 'thank you's and there is of course, a special thank you for all of you.. the most special thank you... You'll see it in a few months :)
My album was originally supposed to come out in May but I asked for it to be pushed back because I need more time to find a manager and make sure that we have the perfect set up for the album. I need to make sure that everyone knows about it before just releasing it !
There's so much to releasing an album guys... I had no idea but it takes careful planning and great promotion. Although, I'm really lucky with what's happened on YouTube, it's put so much of the control in my hands because I can say whatever I want and present my music however I'd like without having to filter it through anyone. That's what I love.. and I think that's why I have been able to create such a special relationship with so many of you.
In about two weeks, I will be heading to New York (I'll be there for my birthday as well on April 16th .. ahhh !! ) to play some small showcases for mtv, vh1, verizon wireles... and that'll be great preparation for doing some 'real' shows when I come back. I'm looking forward to another summer out on the road !! Can't wait for that.. time really kind of stands still when you're out on the road. I got on this wacky schedule of going to be at 4 am and sleeping in until 2 pm.. getting out of the bus, walking around in some strange new city and looking for a decent place with breakfast, becoming family with the musicians I traveled with, seeing new faces everynight, enjoying getting lost in some local park, getting so comfortable with the live show that it no longer involves nerves.. it's just pure fun, random bus stops and finding some new crazy junk food that you love but makes you sick the next day..lol.. finding some great trinket in a tiny town... I look forward to that...
I'm also thinking about making a website.. I can't believe I still don't have one !! It's just been youtube and myspace. Maybe it's time to create a little world of my own huh? But before that, I think my myspace needs a little makeover !! I gotta get some of the new photos up, and maybe some new songs as well.
Okay, I need to wrap this up. I'm starting to bore and confuse myself!! what did i talk about? i dont even have the patience to read it over.... If you made it this far, thank you !!!
oh, and another random note.. I went to see this movie called sin nombre and I really like it... especially the ending credit song. so good !! i just downloaded it on itunes.

Marié's posted the release date for Breathing Underwater as a comment on her new video for the photoshoot. The album is set to release on June 23rd in the USA, and June 24th in Japan. I also added a beautiful photo from an unknown photoshoot, and 1 HQ picture from the Unfold photoshoot.

Marié's official site has posted even more pictures from the Japan tour! The gallery now has a grand total of 72 MQ pictures from the tour. I've added 12 MQ pictures to the Japan tour album. Marié looked absolutely beautiful!

Marié finally reached 150,000 subscribers on YouTube! She is now #10 Most Subscribed on YouTube, according to her account awards. I've also added 400 MQ screencaps from Marié's "Luna Sea" performance in Tokyo, Japan. She looked and sounded absolutely beautiful!

I've added over 300 MQ screencaps from each of Marié's performances in Fukuoka, Japan, 8 HQ fan art icons made by me, and 62 HQ pictures from Marié's concerts in Singapore. She looks absolutely stunning in every picture, and I'm loving her new look in Fukuoka. Thank you so much to housebeater on YouTube for the Fukuoka videos. Also, I might be planning a surprise birthday project for Marié, something like a fanbook, possibly! I guess you guys will have to wait and see for more details!

Another new layout! Haha, I get bored with layouts so quickly, so I added this new one! I think it looks pretty nice, actually. It's a change of pace, eh?



I added 15 more MQ pictures from Marié's tour in Japan. She looks absolutely beautiful; I'm really loving the new side bangs! I also added screencaps from the new "Breathing Underwater" photoshoot video, some pictures from the Japan photoshoot, and a few pictures from Marié's performance in Fukuoka, Japan (credit goes to Yakushiji for these pictures).
